  1. Login to StarAccess.
  2. Click the Administration tab in the sidebar menu.

  3. Under Recruiting, click Recruiting Gateway.
  4. Under Opportunities, click Published. A list of open positions displays.

View Submitted Applications

To view the applications for your open position, do the following:

  1. Under Applicants, click the number of applicants.

  2. Click the applicant's name to view the application.
Note: Internal applicants are identified by a green bar before the applicant's name. All applicants (internal and external) must complete the information under the Presence tab and attach a resume to be considered for employment.

  3. Before reviewing the applicant's resume, click the Application Questions link and review the applicant’s answers to verify that the applicant meets our hiring prerequisites. It is extremely important to check these questions:

    1. Have you ever been convicted of a criminal offense? *Failure to answer honestly may result in immediate disqualification.

    2. Have you ever been convicted, plead Nolo contendere, or had a charge Nolle Prosequi for a criminal offense, specifically involving dishonesty or breach of trust (including but not limited to robbery, embezzlement, forgery, perjury, tax evasion, to name a few)?

    3. At any time, have you been involved in sexual or other illegal harassment or violence in the workplace at a previous employer?

  4. If an applicant answered “No” to all questions, continue with the next step.
Note: If an applicant answers yes to the above questions and you would  like to initiate an interview, contact your HRC and Hiring Coordinator before moving forward. The HRC will contact the applicant to obtain information and determine if you can move forward with an interview.

  5. Click Review Resume to view a .pdf of the candidate's resume. If the Review Resume tab is greyed out, the resume may be under the Presence tab.
Note: If a resume is not attached you cannot move forward with the applicant.

  6. If you find the resume acceptable you may schedule an interview with the candidate once you have notified your HRC and Hiring Coordinator of your interest in interviewing the candidate.

Notify HR: Candidates to Interview

You may receive applications from both external and internal candidates, and in either situation must notify your HRC and Hiring Coordinator before moving forward.

Note: If the applicant is a previous associate you must contact your HRC and Hiring Coordinator to verify the applicant is eligible for rehire before interviewing.

Internal Candidates

No credit or background screening is required for internal candidates, however, you must receive approval from the HRC before scheduling an interview.

To begin the process for internal applicants, do the following:

  1. From Recruiting Gateway > Opportunities > Applicants > Applicant screen, click  More Actions.
  2. Choose Forward Applicant Details. The recipient details page will open.
  3. In the top Recipient(s) field, enter the Hiring Coordinator's name.
  4. Click Add
  5. Under template, choose the HRC Approval template. An email displays with the subject line and the body automatically fills with all the information.
  6. Click Send.

If the associate is determined to be qualified, the corresponding HRC will provide approval, and the hiring manager will notify the associate that he/she has been chosen for an interview. We ask that the associate make their current manager aware of their internal application/interview.

An associate may be disqualified from consideration for a job vacancy for any of the following reasons:

  • The associate is on probation as a result of disciplinary action or policy violation
  • Associate has received two or more written warnings or reprimands in the last 90 days
  • The goals of the Bank would not be well-served

If an internal applicant is disqualified or is not selected for an interview, the HRC will communicate the decision directly to the associate.

External Candidates

For External Candidates:

  1. Click More Actions, and select Forward Applicant Details.
  2. For Recipients, search for and add both the HRC and Hiring Coordinator.
  3. For Template, select Manager Request Credit Check. The subject and body of the message will auto-populate. Click here for details on how to request an applicant credit screening.
  4. Click Send.

You may conduct interviews with external candidates prior to receiving the results of the credit check. The Hiring Coordinator will notify you if the candidate is cleared to proceed to the next phase of the hiring process.
