Making an ILT Recording Available for StarU Online

If you're hosting a live instructor-led training (ILT) session that you'd like made available to associates after the session ends, use the following instructions to record the video and have it uploaded to StarU Online as a separate training item that associates can access any time.

Note: StarU Online has a video file size limit of 1GB (1024MB). While we can make some efforts to reduce the size of videos, our options are limited without reducing the integrity of the video.

Zoom Video

Use these instructions to record Zoom sessions to the cloud and make them available to Star University

  1. Prior to the session, make sure the recording will save to the cloud.
  2. Once the meeting is ended, Zoom takes a few minutes to convert the video for viewing. In the meantime, log in to Zoom and access the Recordings and Transcripts section of your account at https://zoom.us/recording.
  3. Find this recent session in your recordings list and click the Share button.
  4. Click Share Settings.
  5. Make sure Viewers can download is checked and click Save.
  6. Once Zoom has finished converting your video, you'll receive an email notifying you the recording is available. Forward this e-mail to StarUOnline@ccbg.com. Include the following in your message:
    1. Title of the session
    2. Date the session took place
    3. Description of the session
  7. Once a Star University associate uploads the video to StarU Online, they'll respond to your e-mail with a link to the new training item that you can share with any associates who may wish to view the video.
