Payday

Capital City Bank associates are paid on the 15th and 28th of each month. If either of those dates falls on a Saturday or Sunday, pay day is the Friday before. If the pay date falls on a holiday, pay day is the day before.  

Full-Time Associates

Full time associates are paid a salary, which will be split between the two pay dates each month. Overtime, Dock, Holiday, Saturday TE (if applicable), and Paid Time Off (PTO) are calculated using the pay week schedule found in StarAccess. You can find StarAccess by clicking the icon on your desktop.

Part-Time Associates

Part-time associates are paid the hours worked during each payroll period using the Pay Week Schedule found in StarAccess.

Payroll Changes

The deadline for all payroll changes (for example: Direct Deposit, W-4 Forms, Change of Address, 401(k)) are as follows:

  • Paycheck for the 15th – Deadline to make changes is the 5th of each month.
  • Paycheck for the 28th – Deadline to make changes is the 15th of each month.


Changes made after the deadline will be included in the next payroll cycle.

All paperwork submitted to the payroll department must be completely filled out or it will be retuned. Any paperwork returned for completion must still meet the deadline, or it may not be processed until the following pay period. 

If you change your address or phone number with your manager or Bank Direct, you must still update your information on StarAccess

If your name changes you must contact the Human Resources Benefits Coordinator, to obtain proper instructions for making the change.

Insurance Deductions

Insurance deductions are split between both pay checks. For example: If your health insurance premium is $157.96 per month, each pay check will be deducted $78.98.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

PTO is an all purpose paid time-off policy for eligible associates to use for illness, injury, religious observances, preventative health and dental care, personal business, and other absences in accordance with established guidelines. PTO combines traditional vacation and sick plans into one flexible, paid time-off policy. This system encourages associates to schedule time off in advance to allow more efficient staffing in the department and throughout the bank. For clarification, bank recognized holidays, bereavement, jury duty and bank witness leave are time off in addition to PTO.
