What is CutePDF?
CutePDF is a tool that is used for merging multiple PDF files into a single PDF document or adding the Capital City Bank (CCB) letterhead to PDF files digitally.
Merging PDF Documents
You can create a single document by merging several PDFs in CutePDF. To merge the documents do the following:
- Make sure that you have the PDF files that you wish to work with saved to your computer.
- Open CutePDF
- From the menu at the top of the screen, select Merge PDFs.
- Select the PDF files you wish to merge.
- Tip: To select multiple files, hold down the CTRL key and click the files names.
- Click Open.
- A new Create New File from Multiple PDFs screen opens containing the following information:
- Files to Combine – A list of the files you selected
- Add – Click this button to add additional files
- Remove – Click this button to remove selected files from the list

Move Up and Move Down – Use these buttons to sort the files by moving the highlighted file up or down in the Files to Combine list.
- This is the order in which the files merge.
- Once all documents are in the Files to Combine list and in order, click OK to continue.
- Your PDFs are now merged.
- Save the new document to your desktop to easily find it.
Applying Digital Letterhead
You can apply the CCB letterhead digitally to PDF documents using CutePDF. You must have a PDF copy of the CCB letterhead saved to your computer. Click here to download a copy to your desktop.
Tip: To ensure the digital letterhead can be applied properly to statements pulled from Xperience, use Export > Item.
Follow the steps below to apply the letterhead to your PDF documents:
- In CutePDF open the file to which you want to add the letterhead.
- Open the Stamps menu, by clicking the down arrow.
- From the drop-down menu, select Overlap Pages.
- This opens the Overlap Pages window. Fill the fields as follows:
- Source Page – This is the digital letterhead PDF.
- To browse for the file on your computer, click the ellipses […].
- Select the location and file for the letterhead, click Open.
- General –
- Opacity – Set at 100%
- Placement – From the drop-down menu, select Underlay.
- Page Range – Select All
- Source Page – This is the digital letterhead PDF.
- Click OK.
- The CCB digital letterhead has been applied to your file.
- To save your changes, click Save.

Tip: Use the same file name as your merged file. This replaces the unmerged PDF with the merged document with the letterhead overlaid. This helps to prevent confusion with multiple similar files.

Your file is now ready to send to correspondence or to the client.
