The Notice to Borrower in a Special Flood Hazard Area is required by the Flood Disaster Protection Act and advises the borrower if the property to be taken as collateral is in a Special Flood Hazard Area.
The Notice is generated when the flood determination is pulled and the property is identified as being within a Special Flood Hazard Area.
The Notice is provided to the client if the loan is:
- Secured by real estate with a structure
- Secured by a mobile home, even if real estate not taken
- Located in a Special Flood Hazard Area (Section D of the Determination)
