Treasury Management

Overview

The Treasury Management department offers a variety of solutions to the wholesale clients, including For-Profit Businesses, Non-Profit Organizations, and Governmental Clients of Capital City Bank. Treasury Management falls under Speciality Lending within the Core Market Lending division under Revenue.

Treasury Management assists wholesale clients by providing solutions for their organization. These products and services are typically linked to 4 specific business functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Reporting, and Fraud Risk.

Almost every organization uses Treasury Management solutions in some capacity. While they vary in complexity, all organizations have cash flow and that is what this department tries to optimize.

Treasury Management solutions address 5 key areas of a business' Cash Conversion Cycle, which is simply the process by which money flows through an organization.

Some businesses inherently have a short cash conversion cycle, and some have extremely long cash cycles, but they are cash cycles just the same. The faster and more efficiently an organization can move its cash through the business cycle, the more profitable it is.

Treasury Management’s focus is not on banking fee income but on client longevity. They provide highly integrated tools for clients to operate their organization more efficiently and increase profitability.

With Treasury Management’s solutions, clients discover that they can:

  • Improve cash flow
  • Enhance operational efficiencies
  • Increase profitability
  • Reduce risk
  • Provide greater shareholder value

The associates of Treasury Management are located in Tallahassee, FL and Marietta, GA. They work with Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate Lending, and our Community Bankers to bring in new deposits and sell products that generate fee income and further enhance the client’s relationship with Capital City Bank.

Bank Online | Basic Service

Our online banking service provides clients with real-time account balance and 60 days of transaction history. Clients may also download account information, view check images, make internal transfers, pay bills, access mobile banking and e-statements, and receive e-mail alerts.

CD Imaging for Paid Items

This service provides our clients with a compact disc (CD) containing images of all cleared checks and deposit tickets. The images are of excellent quality and contain both the front and back of the item. The CD contains a browser program that allows them to easily search for items by check number, date, or amount.

CD Imaging for Deposited Items

In addition to compact disc (CD) imaging for paid items, Capital City Bank can also provide our clients with a CD containing images of all deposited items. The CD provides images of the front and back of deposited items, along with a search engine to facilitate finding a specific item.

Deposit Reconciliation

This service allows the client to maintain one account for multiple business locations and to identify deposits by specific business location. Deposit tickets are encoded with location or store identification numbers in the Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) line and are grouped together by business location. This may eliminate the need to maintain separate accounts for multiple business locations.

Account Reconciliation

Full or partial reconciliation services are available, and both assist the high-check-volume client with reconcilement of their account(s). This service works by having the client provide the Bank with an electronic data file of issued checks. In return, we provide the client with valuable reports, including outstanding items, stale-dated items, non-issue items, etc. These reports are typically provided on a monthly basis but may be provided weekly or even daily as required to meet the client’s needs.

BAI Reporting

The Banking Administration Institute (BAI) provides a standard format for reporting bank account information. This standard format is typically used by a company that has business locations across a wide geographic area, or even nationwide, and has accounts with multiple financial institutions.
