911 Location Manager

911 Location Manager service has been activated on all corporate laptops to enhance associate safety. This system allows location information (address/building location) to be sent to 911/Emergency Management Services (EMS) when a laptop user outside of a Capital City Bank (CCB) building uses Jabber to dial 911.

While we encourage using physical phones or cell phones for 911 calls, if you utilize Jabber and haven’t registered or updated your location details, it could delay emergency services in locating and assisting you. To ensure a swift emergency response, please register now by following the instructions below.

When the icon appears and you are not in a CCB building, follow these steps:

  1. Open Jabber
    1. If you're not familiar with jabber, refer to the complete guide by clicking here.
  2. Jabber might prompt for location info, through Intrado 911 Location Manager.
    1. If not, double click the 911 Location Manager desktop icon
    2. Click through the information prompts, then enter the following information:
      1. Softphone Number: Desk/Work Phone (not your cell phone)
  1.  Name: Enter Your name with location identifier (for example: Jane Doe Parents' House).
