Tellers use the Monetary Instrument Log to record cashier's checks and money orders purchased with cash which total $3,000.00 or more.
Cashier's checks and money orders purchased with cash in excess of $10,000.00 require the completion of a Currency Transaction Report Form in addition to the monetary instrument log.
