External training is any training that you take outside of StarU Online. Attending a conference in Orlando, or participating in an ELAN lunch-and-learn are both examples. StarU Online provides a way for you to record external training, so that you receive professional development hours for attending.
Do not enter as External Training any class or webinar for which you previously registered in StarU Online. Any hours for these classes will be automatically credited.
For more information about professional development hours, see here.
