StarU Online ILT Roster Management

Instructor Led Training (ILT) in StarU Online provides many ways to manage your classes. The tabs below provide the steps on how to perform the various duties.

Add Associates to a Roster

When an associate expresses interest in joining your class, you can use the following instructions to register them for the class.

  1. Log in to StarU Online.
  2. Click the Navigation Menu icon in the top-right.
      
  3. Go to Learning > Events Calendar.
  4. Click your session title.
  5. In the Session Details flyout, click View Roster.
  6. In the Users section, click Add Users.
  7. Use the fields to narrow your search to the desired associate.
  8. Once the associate has been found, click Add beside their name.
  9. When all associates have been added, click Done.
  10. Ensure all desired associates are in the Pending list, then click Add Pending Users to Roster.
    • Note: The Send e-mails option is checked by default, and highly recommended for sessions that occur in the future as it will ensure the associate receives an Outlook calendar reminder.
 
 

Withdraw Associates from a Roster

If a user was added by mistake, or signs up and can't attend, use the following instructions to withdraw them from the class.

  1. Log in to StarU Online.
  2. Click the Navigation Menu icon in the top-right.
      
  3. Go to Learning > Events Calendar.
  4. Click your session title.
  5. In the Session Details flyout, click View Roster.
  6. In the Roster section, find the desired associate in the list (you may have to navigate through multiple pages) and click the ellipsis under Options.
  7. Click Remove Users.
  8. From the drop-down menu, select a withdrawal reason and add a comment if desired.
    • Do Not Charge Withdrawal Penalty: This option is not currently applicable so can be left unchecked.
    • Do Not Send Withdrawal E-mail: If you've been in communication with the withdrawn associate, check this box; otherwise leave it unchecked.
 
 

Print a Session Roster

For in-person sessions, you can print a roster for associates to sign in. Use the following instructions to do so.

  1. Log in to StarU Online.
  2. Click the Navigation Menu icon in the top-right.
       
  3. Go to Learning > Events Calendar.
  4. Click your session title.
  5. In the Session Details flyout, click View Roster.
  6. In the Roster section, click the red ellipsis button.
  7. To download the Excel file, click Print Sign-In Sheet.
    • For sessions that have multiple parts (occur over multiple days), Print Multi-Part Sign-In Sheet is also an option
    • Recommended: Open the file in Excel and adjust column widths to allow enough space for associate signatures
 
 

Submit an ILT Roster

After finishing a session, update the attendance so associates receive their Professional Development hours. Use the following instructions to do so.

  1. Log in to StarU Online.
  2. Click the Navigation Menu icon in the top-right.
       
  3. Go to Learning > Events Calendar.
  4. Click your session title.
  5. In the Session Details flyout, click View Roster.
  6. Review the list. If additional associates need to be added, follow the instructions in the Add Associates to a Roster tab.
  7. In the Session Roster section, click Attendance and Scoring.
  8. Optional: For classes that have a main session and child session options (such as in-person and a Zoom), click the All locator selection box.
    1. In the drop-down menu, check All locator numbers to show all registered associates for that time slot.
  9. In the Users section > Attendance column, click the Check/Uncheck All button and uncheck any necessary session boxes.
  10. Once attendance has been marked for all associates, click Save at the bottom. A pop-up will notify you that attendance has been submitted and can take a few minutes to reflect on associate's transcripts.
