Visa DPS is the back end application that provides more details about why debit card transactions have declined.
Username: begins with prc643.
When you first log in to Visa DPS, the system prompts you to set security questions and answers in the event you forget your password.
Forgotten Passwords (Associates)
If you forget your password for Visa DPS, then do the following:
- Enter your username.
- Click Forgot Password. The system emails you a link.
- From the email, click Continue the reset password process.
- Follow the prompts to answer the security questions and reset your password. Note: Log in to Visa DPS frequently to avoid login issues.
Resolving Client Debit Card Issues
Clients contact our offices when they are experiencing issues with their debit cards. To assist them, do the following:
- Verify the identity of the client by using one of the following:
- In Xperience click Customer & Account Inquiry. Do the following:
- Set Search Criteria to All Types.
- Search by name, account number, or CIF.
- Select the client's account.
- In the top right-hand corner, click Related Functions. Do the following:
- Click PassPort Inquiry.
- Select card.
- Click History to view transactions.
- Click PassPort Inquiry.
- If transaction history is Decline or Issuer not Available, then look up the card in VISA DPS for further details.
- If the card is hot, do the following:
- Click Related Functions > Maintenance History.
- If Card Status, New Value is H and User ID is Network or Tran OP, then look up the card in Visa DPS for further details.
