Fees are automatically charged to an account when it becomes dormant. Dormancy fees are charged per state as follows:
- Florida: $10/month
- Alabama: $10/month
- Georgia: $5/month with a maximum of $60/dormant period
The bank stops charging fees in the following circumstances:
- When the account returns to an active status
- When the fee maximum is reached
- When the account funds are escheated to the state
If the account is reactivated and subsequently becomes dormant again, the bank charges fees again.
