Deposit Services

Deposit Services works with all areas of Capital City Bank (CCB) and completes maintenance for all deposit accounts bank-wide. The Deposit Services department performs several functions, including:

  • Review new and revised signature cards for consumer and business accounts
  • Conduct weekly reporting for Document Exception Report (DER) / Client Identification Program (CIP) / Verafin
  • Verify stop payments and holds are loaded correctly
  • Process unposted items due to incorrect tickets, incorrect account numbers, and/or incorrect transaction codes
  • Correcting incoming Automated Clearing House (ACH) items with invalid account numbers
  • Handle garnishments, levies, subpoenas, child support, and right of offset
  • Monitor, review, and process Exception Item Processing (EIP) Returns for CCB
  • Monitor, review, and maintenance dormant accounts to be compliant with federal regulations
  • Review General Ledger (GL) reconciliations, Fed adjustments, teller corrections, and chargebacks
  • Charge off accounts, reclamations, Fresh Start agreements, and Q2 address changes
  • Create and provide annual tax documents for clients
  • Buy/sell foreign currency

Deposit Services creates, maintains, and manages Fresh Start agreements. When a client has used bounce and is unable to bring the balance positive before the account is charged off, they are given the opportunity to set up Fresh Start. This allows the client the ability to make 4 monthly installments to pay off the overdrawn balance and maintain a checking account.

For a more timely response, Deposit Services encourages associates to submit e-mails to our e-mail groups instead of individuals.
