We're committed to providing our new associates with all the information, training, and tools they need to be successful in their roles. Every new associate builds a foundation of knowledge during onboarding and continues growing confidence in their understanding through our structured training during the new-hire period.
New Hire Compliance
Banks are highly regulated and our associates must understand the policies, procedures, and regulations in place to protect us and our clients. As an organization, we also have standards that define how we do things around here. To help new associates gain this knowledge, they are assigned specific compliance courses in StarU Online that must be completed within a specific time period - usually within 30-90 days or before the end of the calendar year.
All new associates, regardless of department, are assigned these learning plans:
- Welcome to Capital City Bank
- Corporate Security Basics for New Hires
- BSA/AML: Complying with BSA for New Hires
- Compliance for all CCBG New Associates or Compliance for all CCBG New Managers
Ideally, these learning plans are completed within the first week, as a part of onboarding. Depending on the department and position, new associates are assigned additional compliance courses.

For Retail Delivery Positions
Our retail delivery associates work directly with clients in retail officers, on the phone, or through chat or ITM in the Client Service Center. Not only are they assigned additional compliance courses, but they also receive extensive position-specific e-learning and training time with a StarUniversity trainer.
All new retail delivery associates, regardless of position, are assigned these courses and learning plans:
- Robbery and Bank Security
- New Associate 90 Day Compliance for Deposits
- Deposit Compliance for New Hires
- BSA Development Suite (General)
- First Line of Defense (FLOD)

Our revenue positions range from Metro to community markets and from Commercial Real Estate and specialty lending to Auto Finance, Investment Services, Trust Services, Treasury Management, and Wealth. These associates are assigned additional compliance courses based on their department and title, in addition, they receive extensive position-specific training time with specialized Co-Stars throughout the Bank.
