You are encouraged to receive your paychecks by direct deposit to either a checking or savings account at the institution of your choice (providing the institution has the capability).
To access your direct deposit information, do one of the following:
- On the StarAccess home page, click the Direct Deposit tile. The Direct Deposit Summary screen displays.
No Direct Deposit Tile?
From the StarAccess home page, open the Menu, hover over Myself and click on Direct Deposit (under Pay, middle column).
To add, delete, view, or edit direct deposit information, click one of the following tabs.
Adding
- Under Things I Can Do (top right box), click Add Direct Deposit. The Direct Deposit Detail screen displays.
- (Optional) In the Description field, enter a description.
- (Optional) In the Bank Name field, enter a bank name.
- In the Routing field, enter the routing number for your bank.
- In the Account Number field, enter your account number that will receive the direct deposit.
- From the Account type drop-down menu, select the account type.
- If the Status drop-down menu does not show Active, then select Active.
- Select the Amount of each paycheck to deposit into the account. Choose one option.
- Flat Amount - enter the exact dollar amount.
- Percent Amount - enter the percentage of take-home pay
- Available Balance - select this option if:
- This is your only direct deposit account
- One or more portions of your paycheck are paid by direct deposit to other accounts and you wish to receive the remaining balance in this account.
9. Click Save.
Deleting
- On the Direct Deposit Summary screen, check the Delete checkbox.
- Click Save.
Viewing
On the Direct Deposit Summary screen, click the underlined account number. The Direct Deposit Detail screen displays.
Editing
On the Direct Deposit Summary screen, click the underlined account number. The Direct Deposit Detail screen displays.
- (Optional) In the Description field, enter a description.

- In the Account Number field, enter your account number that will receive the direct deposit paycheck.
- From the Account type drop-down menu, select the account type.
- If the Status drop-down menu does not show Active, then select Active.
- Select the Amount of each paycheck to deposit into the account. Choose one option.
- Flat Amount - enter the exact dollar amount.
- Percent Amount - enter the percentage of take-home pay
- Available Balance - select this option if:
- This is your only direct deposit account
- One or more portions of your paycheck are paid by direct deposit to other accounts and you wish to receive the remaining balance in this account.
- Click Save.
