They serve internal clients—associates of Capital City Bank Group (CCBG)—by proving guidance on security matters and assistance with any security related concerns. They ensure the Bank follows regulatory and industry standards and requirements.
Corporate Security and Risk also performs the following tasks:
- Provides training content for Star University
- Conducts Active Shooter Training
- Participates in demos for new products and services to be able to assist with any security concerns and vendor risk management
- Monitors activities conducted on systems
- Reviews applications used based on their risk to the bank to ensure
- Security features are set up appropriately and access set up in the application matches the authorized access for each user
Here is a categorized breakdown of additional duties and responsibilities that Corporate Security conducts:
Systems Access
Known as the System Job Function Code (SJFC), this role-based access control ensures associates have access and permissions to systems used by CCBG based on least privilege.
Physical Access
Corporate Security and Risk handles robbery response, permissioned entry to CCBG facilities, alarms, and video equipment as needed to perform job functions.
Vendor and Contract Management
Requirements for onboarding new third-party vendors and managing existing vendors in accordance with regulatory requirements and security best practices are Corporate Security and Risk's responsibility. This includes maintaining a repository of all contracts for CCBG.
Business Continuity and Incident Response
Management of this program entails identifying all critical resources needed to ensure there are set plans to have these resources available in a timely manner during an incident as well as responding to incidents.
