Loan Document Preparation

The Loan Document Preparation department works closely with Central Underwriting, loan officers, lending administrative assistants, and other lending associates to prepare loan documents for business, consumer, and real estate loan closings.

First, Loan Document Preparation verifies and evaluates loan information from integrated application systems and a variety of source documents.

These integrated application systems include:

  • DecisionPro for consumer loans
  • Abrigo for business loans

Source documents, which are supporting documents for the loan, can include:

  • Title work
  • Surveys
  • Appraisals
  • Titles
  • Bills of sales
  • Business formation documents (for example: Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization, Operating Agreements, and similar)

Next, verified loan information from the source documents is entered into LaserPro, while loan information is imported from DecisionPro or Abrigo into LaserPro, a software program to generate loan documentation. The entire process functions as prescribed by established policies and procedures.

Specialists in this department are not “simply” performing clerical or data entry work. Instead, they process a high volume of loans in relatively short periods of time. To maintain such high productivity, specialists understand the legal implications of each document and loan package they prepare.

They are committed to processing and accurately completing loan packages as quickly as possible. The speed and accuracy involved in completing a loan package impact not only internal associates but Capital City Bank clients as well. A job well done reflects positively on lenders, lending assistants, and Capital City Bank.

For associates who want to receive their loan packages in a timely manner, please make sure to upload all supporting documents to DecisionPro or Abrigo, as appropriate.

Finally, always, always, always review loan documents to ensure the terms and other relevant content are correct before closing the loan.
