These bankers create and manage a wide range of information from policy documentation to an expansive catalog of professional development resources.

Compliance
Capital City Bank is committed to remaining in compliance of applicable federal banking regulations. Associates are assigned job-specific compliance courses annually to ensure that they are properly knowledgeable about the regulations that impact their work, position, and client interactions. All compliance training is conveniently located on associate transcripts in StarU Online.
Remember: Associates are required to complete all assigned training by the due date to remain in compliance.

Job-Specific Training
Star University is dedicated to delivering exceptional introductory training for a variety of positions ranging from Tellers to Lending Assistants to managers from across the footprint.
Some positions are supported with online training and digital resources, while others, such as those in retail offices, attend multi-day in-person training to gain the knowledge and tools necessary to start strong in their new roles.

Professional Development
As part of the Bank’s Take It to 10 goals, all associates are required to complete at least 10 hours of professional development each year. Professional development can include both internal and external training.

External Training
Opportunities abound for external training. Associates often take advantage of the following:

Note: Many of the ABA and FBA courses have fees associated with them, so check with your supervisor before registering and always start with StarU Online, where the same course might be available to you free of charge.

StarU bankers are dynamic facilitators, dedicated to providing impactful learning experiences, both in person and in a virtual classroom. They design and deliver custom programs specifically for Capital City Bank that aid associates in growing their efficiency, capacity, and confidence in serving clients.

The Learning Library
The Learning Library houses a wealthy collection of multimedia resources, including books, DVDs, and CDs. These professional development resources focus on the skills and training associates and managers need to diversify their skills and knowledge-base, maximize their potential, and grow their careers.
Here's how to use the Learning Library:
- Review the Learning Library Resource Lists (Lists can also be found on netinterest in Public Documents under Star University, Learning Library).
- E-mail Julie Ellington with the number, title, and format (book, DVD, CD) of the learning resource(s) you would like to check out. Please limit your selections to no more than 3 items at one time.
- If the resource is available, Julie interoffices it to you that day. If not, you are notified and put on a waiting list.
- Learning Library materials may be checked out for 1 month at a time. Note: If you finish before the month is up, please interoffice the material back as soon as possible, as someone else may be waiting for the title you have checked out.
- By utilizing the resources that the Learning Library provides, associates will continue to lead, execute, communicate, think, learn, and welcome.
Learning Week
Every quarter, StarU hosts Learning Week, a week-long spotlight on job-skills-focused training. All Capital City Bank associates and managers are encouraged to take any of the several in-person and virtual courses that are offered.
Classes offered during Learning Week span the spectrum from leadership and team communication training to soft skills and software training. Each class is an educational experience designed to meet associates' professional development needs and help them excel at their jobs to better respond to our clients' needs.
This is a great opportunity to take a class or three and sharpen your professional skills while earning credit towards your Take It to 10 goal!
