Transaction Block - Invalid PIN

Overview

Invalid PIN

Transactions block if an invalid PIN is entered. Use either Passport Inquiry or VISA DPS to determine if a transaction is blocked due to an invalid PIN.


Xperience

In Passport Inquiry:

  1. Verify the Client's identity
  2. In Xperience > Customer & Account Inquiry 
    • Set Search Criteria to All Types
    • Search name, account number or CIF
  3. Select the client's account
  4. Select Related Functions in the top right hand corner 
    • Choose PassPort Inquiry
    • Select card
    • Select History to view transactions
  5. View Transaction Status: 
    • Error code: Invalid PIN (55)
  6. To reset a client's forgotten PIN, follow these procedures.
  7. If the card is in an X locked out status, follow these procedures. 

VISA DPS

In VISA DPS:

  1. Search card in Visa Resolve Online - VROL.
  2. View the Transaction Response code:
    • D-117: Invalid PIN
  3. To reset a client's forgotten PIN, follow these procedures.
  4. If the card is in an X locked out status, follow these procedures.
