Overview
Clients can add travel notifications through their Online Banking Services. Click here for procedures.
When a client makes the bank aware that he/she will be traveling, a Travel List must be created in REDiVerify to add a travel rule to the account The client's debit card will be noted to prevent transactions from blocking while the client is outside his/her normal area of activity.
Follow the procedure to ensure the travel notification is correctly placed.
Xperience
- Verify the client’s identity using the appropriate method.
- Verify the following card-related information:
- Card number for the travel notification
- Embossed name on the front of the card matches the name of the client making the request
- Card status in Passport is not listed as hot
- Checking account number
- In Xperience click Silverlake > Retail CIF Menu > Special Message Maintenance.
- Enter account number.
- For account type enter one of the following:
- D = Checking
- S = Savings
- Place a message on the client account linked to the card indicating the location(s) and dates of travel.
- Include an expiration date.
- Submit the following Synapsys service event: Service Session > TR and FP > TRFP– Travel Notification.
- If time sensitive, in the subject line of the event, include the phrase Client Waiting. Note: Client waiting events are completed within an hour.
- Transactional Risk & Fraud Prevention (TR&FP) reviews the service event and places the requested travel notification in REDi.
*Note: Please include the method of travel (driving or flying) and include layovers and as many states as possible that the client will be traveling through or potentially stopping on the way to their destination.
TIP: From the Customer & Account Inquiry screen, click the CRM icon in your toolbar or Related Functions > CRM to be directed to Synapsys without having to re-input client information.
REDiVerify
- From the REDiVerify home page click Configuration > Travel List.
- Click Add.

Enter 1 of the following:
Cust. Id: Enter the client CIF to apply a Travel Rule to all debit cards tied to the CIF. OR
Card: Enter the debit card number to apply a Travel Rule
In the Begin Date field, enter the date you want the Travel Rule to begin.

In the End Date field, enter the date for the Travel Rule to end.
Note: Travel Rules should only be placed for a maximum of a 6 month period.

If traveling in the U.S., enter the states the client will be traveling to.
- If driving, enter all states they plan to drive through.
- If flying, include all states with plane lay overs or stops.
- Enter the countries the client is traveling to, if applicable.
- Be as specific as possible, do not say 'traveling to Europe'.
- Add Notes including:
- Client traveling to _______, please contact at (phone number) or (e-mail).
- Click Submit.
Find/Edit Existing Travel List
To edit an existing travel list item, do the following:
- From the REDiVerify home page click Configuration > Travel List.
- Click the Show Inactive button.
- Search by CIF or Full Card Number.

- Click on the hyperlinked Name on the Travel List Items page.
- Update fields as required.
- Click Submit.
