Expectations of Associates

Client Service

Exceptional client service is a hallmark of Capital City Bank and a non-negotiable expectation of all associates. We count on consistent exceptional service by every associate, to every client, in every office and department.

Communication

Open and honest communication is a critical part of a good working relationship. When developmental feedback is offered, take it in the spirit that it is intended, and handle it professionally.

Accountability

Take responsibility for your actions. If you make a mistake or do not complete a task, admit it. With accountability also comes the ability to offer a solution to rectify the problem. Have a plan to fix the situation or improve the relationship.

Responsiveness

Our clients – both external and internal – require our immediate attention. In many cases, you are the initial point of contact. You need to make the right decision when unexpected situations arise. Based on the need or urgency, you may need to err on the side of caution. Anticipate the clients’ needs, determine what you can do to help, and then react.

Accuracy

Review your documents to make sure they are accurate and grammatically correct. Make sure you use spell check and the content is correct. Always complete the project to the best of your ability.

Taking Initiative

If you see an area in which we can improve, a process that can be fixed, or a project that can be strengthened, take the initiative and discuss it with your supervisor. If you know that you can do a better job and make things more efficient and effective, take the first step. If a project interests you or you want to develop your skills, create a plan to achieve that goal and then share it with your supervisor. Be confident and realize that your contributions can be valuable.

Learning from Mistakes

Some mistakes are inevitable -- that is part of the learning process. If you make a mistake, take ownership, try to understand why the mistake was made, and then learn from it.

Ability to Anticipate

The ability to anticipate may not play a role in every project or task, however, always try to determine what is needed. Enhancing your ability to anticipate the needs of others will help grow your critical thinking skills.

Collaboration

Working as a member of a team is part of being a Capital City Bank associate. We each have unique talents, strengths, and perspectives. We need to share opinions and ideas, focus on the goal, and work in unison. No matter your area of expertise, you are still a vital part of the team. If you pitch in, do your part, and remember the common goal, we all win.
