Processing Standard Night Depository Drop+Go Items



All deposits, no matter what time they are removed from the Night Depository Drop+Go are processed using Transaction Type 28 - Speed Key U. Best Practice: Associates should aim to access the first Drop+Go transaction pull for the day prior to 9:00 a.m.


Transactions removed at the last pull of the day must be processed prior to the end of day closing.

Business Transaction

Individual tellers must process business transactions dropped in the Night Depository Drop+Go prior to the end of the business day. Follow all policies and procedures pertaining to deposit transactions.

Credit to the account will only be made for the actual amount verified with the deposit. Refer to Cash Discrepancies Procedures.

The validated receipts are retained for the client to pick up (either placed back in the bag or filed for returning to the client).

The receipts should be picked up within 5 business days. If receipts are not claimed within 5 business days, they may be destroyed.

Consumer Transaction

Individual tellers must process consumer transactions dropped in the Night Depository Drop+Go prior to the end of the business day. Follow all policies and procedures pertaining to deposit transactions.

Credit to the account will only be made for the actual amount verified with the deposit. Refer to Cash Discrepancy Procedures

Capital City Bank (CCB) does not mail receipts for consumer transactions, rather the system generates an email deposit notification for clients with a valid e-mail address.

Verify envelopes are empty and all transactions have been processed. Discard the envelopes in the teller shred trash.

All tellers processing consumer transactions must complete the Consumer Account Night Depository Drop+Go Log with all applicable information.

Deposit Notification

Clients with a valid e-mail address on file, who use the night depositories (Tran Type 28) receives the following message:

Thank you for choosing Capital City Bank.

We have received your transaction via our Drop+Go service on (Date Inserted). For transaction details and status, log into your Capital City Bank online banking service, call our automated accounts system at 888.671.0400 or chat with us online at www.ccbg.com.
