Overview

A valid photo ID is required to complete certain requests (for example: cashing a check, requesting account balances, or changing an address). Virtual Bankers (VB) have the ability to capture client identification through the use of an ID Scanner on the front of every Interactive Teller Machine (ITM). The exact location the scanner varies depending which model of ITM the client is using. 

Use the ITM Scanner Location and Model tab to assist clients with ID placement.

Scanning a Photo ID

Once the ID image has been successfully captured, IMMEDIATELY remind the client to retrieve their ID.

The scanned ID image is only available during the session in which it was scanned. For the client's protection, once the session has ended the ID information is gone. It is important to capture all required information from the ID prior to ending the call with the client. 

To scan a photo ID:

1. Ask the client to place their ID face down on the scanner. 
   • To assist a client with locating the scanner, refer to the ITM Scanner Location and Model tab.
2. Press F4 to scan the ID.
3. Ensure all pertinent information is captured by analyzing the ID (for example: date of birth, identification number, and name are all clearly visible).
   • Use the buttons in the Scan ID window to rotate or flip the image for a better view.  
4. Remind the client to take their ID back.
5. Click Close.

To recall the ID:

1. In the TellerNow! navigation bar, click View.
2. From the drop-down menu, click View ID. 
   • Note: If you select Scan ID, the scanner will run again. The new blank screen overrides the previous ID image. If this happens, you need to ask the client to present their ID again.

Hit ctrl + f and enter the ITM# displayed on your TellerNow! screen to locate the ID Scanner location.
