Facsimile Signature

A facsimile signature is a reproduction of an authorized signer's manual signature that can be produced electronically or by imprinting or stamping.

If a business is requesting the use of a facsimile signature on negotiable items, a Resolution for Machine Signed Signatures is required and must contain the facsimile signature stamp or image being used by the client and be signed by the Secretary of the entity.

StreamLine input requires the following:

  1. On the Signers on Signature Card Business screen, answer Y to Is a Facsimile Signature Allowed?
  2. Enter the following on the Res For Machine Signed Sig screen:
    • Regular or Special Meeting
    • Secretary Name of the entity
    • Date Regular or Special Meeting Held - MMDDYY
  3. Ask the client to verify all information on the printed new or revised account documents. If any errors, a corrected signature card and resolution must be produced.

Documents containing handwritten information or corrections with whiteout are NOT accepted.
