Resetting Card PIN Fail Count

Office - PIN Fail Count

PIN Fail Count

If a client consecutively enters an incorrect PIN 5 times during transactions, the card is placed in a temporarily blocked (X) status. The card will not reset automatically, and the client must contact the bank to reset the PIN fail count and unblock the card.

Resetting PIN Fail Count

Cards in a blocked (X) status must have the PIN count reset in order to complete transactions successfully. Cards that are placed in the active status without a PIN count reset will continue to block transactions. To ensure that the card is reset and reactivated by Transactional Risk & Fraud (TR&FP) or Bank Direct Chat, see the PIN count reset procedure.
