Corporate Communications
Marketing works with many divisions and departments in all areas of the Bank to effectively communicate relevant information to Capital City Associates. This department is responsible for managing netinterest (the Capital City Bank intranet), internal publications, and news releases. Internal news is communicated using netinterest, All CCBG e-mails, Company News, and FriYAY HOOray.
netinterest
The netinterest site is set as the default home page on every Capital City Bank computer and is updated regularly with breaking news and current events at the Bank.
For more detailed information on netinterest and all it offers check out the article CCB Marketing and Branding.
netinterest news bulletin
A netinterest news bulletin e-mail containing important information for all associates is sent out from the Marketing department every Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. This way associates can catch up on the latest news as they prepare for the day.
Additional e-mails are sent to all associates or groups of associates as necessary to communicate breaking news when it occurs.
Company News
Delivered during Stand Up on Tuesdays. As with netinterest news bulletin, listed above, the goal of Company News is to highlight the most current, timely, and relevant news affecting the majority of associates.
FriYAY HOOray
The electronic newsletter recognizing associate excellence and community involvement is called FriYAY HOOray and is published every Friday.
Tell us what’s going great with you—significant life events, achievements, and more—or brag on someone else. We like to celebrate all wins—big and small!
Alert Media Emergency Communications
To help ensure the safety of our associates, Capital City Bank uses an alerts system to communicate important emergency updates, such as office closures related to severe weather, via e-mail and text, as well as voicemail and mobile app notifications.
New associates receive an e-mailed invitation to complete their Alert Media account registration and set their personal contact preferences after HR updates the database once a month or ahead of any event where we anticipate needing to send emergency communications.
For established associates, it’s important to log in periodically and verify your contact information is current and accurate so you’ll always receive updates that affect you. Marketing sends reminders ahead of every major event in order to help ensure associates never miss an opportunity to update their contacts.
Media Relations
The Marketing department is responsible for writing, editing, and distributing corporate news to local and regional media. All news releases must be approved by the Marketing department. Any media inquiries should be sent to Chief Brand Officer, Brooke Hallock, at 850.402.8525.
News Releases
The Marketing department writes releases for newsworthy announcements, such as grand openings, groundbreaking ceremonies, special events, Board of Directors appointments and promotions, and new hires requiring board approval.
Releases Written by Outside Organizations
In cases where an outside organization develops a news release regarding an announcement or upcoming event, the Marketing department requires final approval and reserves the right to edit the release as appropriate. All releases are required to have the "About Capital City Bank Group, Inc." boilerplate at the bottom. This boilerplate is updated regularly and can be obtained through the Marketing department.
Branding and Logo Usage
The Marketing department is charged with protecting and promoting the Star by developing, communicating, and maintaining standards for visual, written, audible, experiential, and virtual interactions with all Capital City brands—what we call “Capital City Style.” These standards include instruction for Capital City Associates on how to create e-mail signatures, what to say on voicemail greetings, guidelines for client correspondence (including out-of-office automatic replies), and much more because marketing Capital City is everyone’s job. Any materials that have the Capital City Bank, Capital City Bank Group, Capital City Investments, Capital City Strategic Wealth, or Capital City Trust Company logo must be approved through the Marketing department before use.
If you need to use a Capital City Logo, please submit a request online via StarBrand to indicate where and how the logo will be used and what file format is needed.
Product Promotions and Campaigns
The Marketing department coordinates and helps execute product promotions and campaigns. Each campaign is different. When considering a product promotion or campaign, arrange for a meeting with the marketing strategy manager approximately three months prior to the prospective start date of the promotion. The marketing team will develop a marketing plan as needed.
Marketing and Sales Letters
The Marketing department can help associates with sales letters. In order to help accomplish your goals, please provide a draft of the letter and any supporting information on the product or services. All letters must be approved by Marketing and Compliance before use.
Advertising
Marketing is responsible for all advertising, changes to brochures and sales materials, photo shoots (headshots and group photos), and directory listings. All print, billboard, digital, radio, or television ads are developed by the Marketing department and must be approved before publication or use. StarBrand is an intranet site accessible from netinterest that contains a library of available marketing materials that can be requested or downloaded directly from the site.
Printed Material
The Marketing department is responsible for the writing, editing, and layout of all brochures and sales materials of Capital City Bank, Capital City Investments, Capital City Strategic Wealth, and Capital City Trust Company. All decisions regarding use of outside services (advertising agency, printer, photographer, etc.) are made by the Marketing department.
Public Relations
The public relations area of Marketing is responsible for planning corporate events, managing Star Stuff merchandise, overseeing the Capital City Bank Group Foundation, and coordinating major Capital City Bank event sponsorships.
Special Event Planning
The Marketing department is available on a limited basis to assist offices in planning special events. The official Capital City Bank Event Planning Guide and Event Standards are available on the Marketing division page of netinterest, and a selection of common event plans are available to download from StarBrand.
The Marketing department can help proof and print event invitations, recommend caterers or other event vendors, and provide ideas for giveaways and decorations. Each market has support items for special events, including tablecloths, decorative star, tables, and direction signs. Many markets have their own community “spokesstar,” Twinkle Banks, and a Capital City Bank canopy that can be shared with offices in neighboring markets. Ask your local president about the availability of these items.
Star Stuff Merchandise
From notebooks and coffee mugs to plastic crayon banks and volunteer t-shirts, the Star Stuff Web site has a variety of items designed to promote Capital City Bank. To preview Capital City logo items, log on to netinterest and click on the Star Stuff link. Once you find an item you like, our simple online ordering system allows you to order from your bank cost center.
Capital City Bank Group Foundation
The Capital City Bank Group Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization that was created in 1983 by Capital City Bank Group. The Foundation works with worthy organizations throughout the Capital City Bank footprint by donating valuable funds for special projects and community initiatives once a year. The application is only available on our website at www.ccbg.com/ccbg-foundation. All grants are due by April 1. Notifications of approved grants are communicated in mid-May following the application cycle.
Capital City Event Sponsorship
Capital City Bank is a proud corporate sponsor of many worthwhile organizations and programs. The Marketing department has limited PR Pool Funds that are dedicated to major corporate sponsorships such as Opening Nights, Red Hills Horse Trails, Cleaver & Cork, United Way, and others. Please contact your local president for consideration of all other requests for sponsorship. Individual offices are responsible for sponsoring events of interest in each market. Any use of the Bank name or trademarks must be approved by the marketing strategy manager.
Client Experience
StarMeter Client Experience Measurement
Companies known for providing world-class client experiences have two things in common: They always listen to their clients, and they take action on what they hear. Our Capital City Bankers have the desire to create these extraordinary experiences. StarMeter allows us to measure our success and learn from situations when we’ve missed the mark.
Simply put, StarMeter is a client experience survey that allows us to continually gather and respond to “in the moment” feedback via multiple touchpoints: in offices, on our website, and when interacting with our digital tools. The survey captures key performance indicators of satisfaction (asks the client to rate their overall satisfaction with their experience, which will allow us to track ourselves on a five-star scale) along with a short list of interaction-specific questions that provide context and allow us to have a better understanding of the experience.
As we continue to place a high priority on exceeding expectations and creating exceptional client experiences with every interaction, it becomes increasingly important to know when we hit the mark and when there is room to improve. StarMeter provides continuous and real-time client feedback we can use to deepen relationships, as well as identify and take action on opportunities to improve!
