Transaction Operating System
The transaction operating system is an Automated Teller System where tellers access their cash drawer, process transaction and balance.
Online
Connection to the network and information core system is available. Capital City Bank (CCB) client account ownership, status, and balance information are verified and updated. System cash totals and the transaction electronic journal are updated with each transaction processed.
Offline
An Offline mode occurs when connection to the network is available, but the information core system is unavailable. CCB client account ownership, status, and balance information are verified and updated. System cash totals and the transaction electronic journal are updated with each transaction processed. When the core system becomes available, client account balance information is updated. The Upload Status column indicates Not Yet Sent for any transaction processed in offline mode. When connection is restored, the transactions are automatically uploaded and the Upload Status column changes to Success.
See Teller Item Capture - Offline for additional details.
Offline Operating Systems
Xperience Teller works in offline mode, when connection to the network and information core system is unavailable. Once the network connection is restored, transactions processed in Xperience Teller in the offline mode are processed and memo posted.
When a teller is unable to access Xperience Teller for processing transactions, Manual Transaction Processing procedures are to be followed.
Business Day
The date on which transactions are posted to the client's account. The business day is the same day as the calendar day except on Saturday. For Saturday processing, the business day is the following day the bank is open for business (either Monday's calendar date on Tuesday's calendar date if Monday is a bank holiday).
Note: When tellers process transactions on the wrong business date in the system, the transactions can be moved to the correct processing date by the Lead Teller (LT).
