Loan Payments
Capital City Bank (CCB) makes loans to individuals and businesses. Loan types differ depending on the financial and payment needs of the client. Payments are made on an original payment notice, original payment coupon, or a loan payment ticket. Typical loan types include:
- Installment Loan
- Commercial Loan
- Mortgage Loan
- Home Equity Line of Credit
- Consumer Line of Credit
- CheckLoan (Discontinued Product Type)
- CheckLoan accounts opened prior to September 2001 have an 11 digit account number (for example: 01034545069). Record the complete 11 digit account number on the loan payment ticket.
Loan Payment - Speed Key J
Regular and Non-Regular loan payments are processed as 2 transactions. Regular or non-regular loan payments should NOT be sent to Loan Servicing for processing.

Often payment checks are delivered with a check stub which may contain instructional information regarding the payment and/or payoff.
- Any documentation (for example: payoff letter, check stub or other correspondence) should be delivered to Loan Servicing by scanning the items and emailing to _Loan Svc - Paid Loans.
Charged Off Loan Payments
DO NOT process Charged Off Loan Payments. Clients requesting to make a payment on a Charged Off Loan should be referred to a Personal Banker to review account messages and contact the appropriate department.
DeletePayments on Residential Loans Held for Sale
Occasionally payments are received on Residential Loans Held For Sale (Account Type: 04 RES RE HELD FOR SALE). Clients should be referred to a Personal Banker or CXM/CXMII for review of the account and any messages.
DeleteSafe Deposit Box Payment - Speed Key S
Clients are mailed a payment notice once each year for their Safe Deposit Box rent. Payments are credited to the client's safe deposit box account number.
- If the client has the payment notice, you may use the blue copy of the notice to process the transaction.
- If the client does not have the payment notice, process the transaction and create a virtual payment ticket by entering the Box #.
Miscellaneous Payment - Speed Key W
Speed Key W
The Miscellaneous Payment transaction is used for any payment type for which there is not a specific transaction type. This transaction allows the teller to memo post the funding item (if applicable) and produce a payment receipt for the client.
Checking & Savings Account Charged Off Payments
When presented with a charge-off payment:
- Payment must be made in good funds (for example: cash, money order, cashier check, check)
- Run a Deposit Transaction - Speed Key A to create a virtual Deposit ticket.
- Checking/Money Market - Deposit
- Savings/Club Account - Savings/Club Deposit
- Enter the following information in the transaction:
- Account number
- Tran. code
- In the Instrument field, enter COP first initial, last name.
- No cash back allowed from this transaction.
Skip-a-pay Program
The annual Skip-a-pay program offers eligible clients the opportunity to defer a regular loan payment to the end of the loan without penalty or late fees, freeing them up to use the money where they really need it.
ALL Skip-A-Pay certificates and payments are to be scanned to _Loan Svc-Input daily for processing. See Skip-a-Pay for processing details.
- Make Sure that the client has signed the skip-a-pay
- DO NOT process the Skip-A-Pay certificate through Teller Capture.
- DO NOT send original certificates to Loan Servicing if it has already been scanned.
- Create a centralized area in your office for ALL Skip-A-Pay coupons/payments to be placed after processing by associates.

- Client request debit from Capital City Bank account:
- Verify the account number to debit the fee from entered on Skip-A-Day certificate.
- No receipt is provided to the client for this type of request.
