Safe Deposit Box System Maintenance is completed to ensure the correct Box Status is reflected on the system. Office associates must verify the box status.
Complete safe deposit box maintenance when the box has been closed or when a discrepancy in the safe deposit box status is identified.
Status Code Maintenance
Create a Deposit Services – Safe Deposit Box General Maintenance Synapsys service event to request a safe deposit box status code change.
N – Not Available – Missing Key(s)
A closed Safe Deposit Box must be maintenance to Not Available – Missing Key(s) when a box is closed with 1 or no keys. The box will require service by a locksmith before being placed into a U-Unoccupied status.
Create a Deposit Services – Safe Deposit Box General Maintenance Synapsys service event to request a change in the Box Status to N – Not Available.
N – Not Available – Box Malfunction
Determine if the safe deposit box is not able to be rented due to the condition of the box or the lock. If the box malfunction is beyond repair and/or is not in working order, update the status to N – Not Available.
Create a Deposit Services – Safe Deposit Box General Maintenance Synapsys service event to request a change in the Box Status to N- Not Available.
O –Occupied - Box Rented
The occupied status is automatically applied to a rented box when it is uploaded to the system.
D – Drill
Verify the boxes with the D – Drill status code prior to drilling the box. Look for Drill in the blue message line in the system.
- Refer to Past Due Safe Deposit Box procedures before drilling a box.
- Create a Deposit Services – Safe Deposit General Maintenance Synapsys service event to request a change to the Box Status O – Occupied if the box rent and the late fee have been paid and the box should not be drilled.
Unoccupied Box Search
- In Xperience > Customer & Account Inquiry
- Use the drop-down arrow to choose Safe Deposit Box.
- In the Box Status field, use the drop-down arrow to choose Unoccupied.
- In the Branch field, choose an office to search for available safe deposit boxes.
- Click Search. A list of unoccupied boxes available for rent displays with the box sizes and annual rent fees.
