Responding to Forgery

Note: Do not make any claims or statements to the client about recovery of funds.

  1. When a client informs you of a forgery, contact Transactional Risk & Fraud Prevention (TR&FP) by e-mailing them at _Transactional Risk & Fraud Prevention.
  2. Follow the instructions provided by the TR&FP associate.
  3. If instructed, complete the Alabama/Georgia Affidavit of Forgery or Florida Affidavit of Forgery and do the following:
  4. Record the client’s daytime phone number on the affidavit.
    1. Interoffice mail the original affidavit and scan a copy to _Transactional Risk & Fraud Prevention.
    2. Complete the following in Synapsys:
      • In Xperience, click Synapsys CRM 
      • Click New Event/Activity > Create New Event > Service Session
      • Click TR and FP.
      • Choose TRFO - Forgeries.
      • Click OK.
      • Complete all required fields.
