Cancelling the Bounce Protection Service

Bounce Protection is a non-contractual courtesy extended solely at the discretion of the bank and may be revoked at any time. The client can also to revoke the service.

Client Request

To cancel bounce protection for an account at the client's request, create the following Synapsys service event: 

  1. In Xperience click Customer & Account Inquiry. 
  2. Search for the client using name, CIF, or Tax ID. 
  3. Click Related Functions > CRM. 
  4. Click New Event/Activity > New Event > Service Session. 
  5. Click Deposit Services > DS-Bounce Protection.
  6. Click OK. 
  7. Complete all applicable fields.
  8. Click Save > Save & Submit Session.


Client Experience Manager (CXM) or Officer Request

If an issue is identified with a particular client (for example: fraud, inability to repay overdraft), with the approval of the CXM or officer, you can request to cancel the Bounce Protection service for an account.

Note: Office associates are not permitted to cancel bounce protection unless requested by the client or approved by the CXM or officer.

  1. In Xperience click Customer & Account Inquiry. 
  2. Search for the client using name, CIF, or Tax ID. 
  3. Click Related Functions > CRM. 
  4. Click New Event/Activity > New Event > Service Session.
  5. Click Deposit Services > DS-Bounce Protection.
  6. Click OK. 
  7. Complete all applicable fields.
  8. Click Save > Save & Submit Session.
  9. Deposit Services reviews the request and denies or approves the cancellation.
  10. If the request is approved, Deposit Services provides a letter for the CXM or officer to give to the client.
