Clients can request to change their product types.
If a client requests to change to the Empower Checking product, you must close out the current account and open a new Empower Checking account. You cannot request an account type change to move into Empower Checking.
To change an account type at the client's request, do the following:
- Obtain valid identification to verify that the client is an owner or authorized signer on the funding account by using one of the following.
- In Xperience > Customer and Account Inquiry.
- Enter the CIF #, client's name and last 4 of the SSN, or loan account number and click Search.
- Click Related Functions > CRM.
- Click New Event/Activity > Create New Event > Service Session.
- Click the (+) button next to Deposit Services.
- Choose DS - DDA/SVA product type change.
- Add a short summary stating the client has requested to change their account type. Note: Make sure to include the new account type as well as the account they are changing in the summary.
- In the Account Number field, use the drop-down menu to select the account.
- In the account type field, use the drop-down menu to select the new account type.
- Click Save.
- Click Save and Submit.
- Review the account details with the client.
- Provide the client with the Products and Services booklet, Disclosure Insert, the Other Services and Fees brochure, and provide the Truth in Savings Disclosure by doing the following:
- In Xperience > SilverLake > StreamLine Platform Menu > Print Account Disclosures
- In the Branch field, enter your Branch Number.
- In the Application field, use the drop-down arrow to choose D - Deposit.
- Click OK.
- Choose the account type that the client is changing to.
- Click OK.
- Print or e-mail the documents.
