When you change the client name on the CIF, you must also update the short name. Do the following:
- In SilverLake click CIF Menu > Change Customer Name.
- Enter the CIF and click OK.
- The Existing Information fields automatically populate, DO NOT change this information.
- The Existing Information fields automatically populate, DO NOT change this information.
- In the Change To > Customer Name and Customer Alias fields, enter the new name for the client (consumer or business).
- IRS Name Control automatically fills in, do not change this information.
- Click OK. A box appears stating Review customer name.
- If correct click Override to change all.
- Navigate to the CIF Inquiry screen to verify the changes.
